Hey hotties,
I just wanted to post that yesterday I walked 2 miles and did 20 pushups and drank 118 oz of water.
I'm struggling with some things in my personal life and as your captain I felt you should know this: No matter what I'm dealing with I will always be competing with y'all. You guys have kept me going today and yesterday. I just keep telling myself, "Your team needs you!" And I do it. Tears and all... Please don't give up on me. I am trying to be as amazing for you all as you guys are for me. I just need you to know this! It's 3pm eastern time and I haven't eaten yet. Drank 80oz of water so far lol but no food. I don't eat when I'm all stressed and emotional. I am however going to force myself to eat something and then head out on a walk after my client gets home. I need to clear my head and I have found that walking helps with that. I will check in later with my totals. I need to just keep repeating my mantra over and over to myself.
STAY STRONG.
STAY FOCUSED.
STAY POSITIVE!!
I hope everyone has an awesome friday and I will see you back n here later!0 -

Hi Hotties!

Walk/Run - 21 miles
Pushups - 100 (by the end of the day I will meet the goal)

My sister will be here in 90 mintes for workout. Let me know if you want to skype with her for training! And Hotties, lets get out there and kick some FAT CEL'S *kitten*!0 -
OK Hotties.
Weekly totals.
Lost 1.6 pounds I now weigh 195 Lbs. Woot..
648 ounces of water
200 pushups. They were a form of discipline in my house growing up. I'm pretty good at them:)
23.7 miles
Have a great Saturday. Lets burn some calories..0 -
Hi Everyone
I weighed 176.2 this morning so I lost 4.2lbs. I'm very very suprised but also happy, I never lose that much so I'm a little scared about next week.
684 oz of water
20 miles
100 pushups (girly style & only 10 at a time)
Looks like everyone did awesome this week. Great Job!!!0 -
Just a quick update...since my MFP weigh in didnt coincide with the official MM weigh in, I did lose 4 lbs on MFP tally yesterday, but only 3 on MM. Just in case anyone notices. That 3 day difference when we first were starting the challenge messed me up. But now my official weigh in day will be Saturdays so that both amounts are equal. Hope you guys are having a great Sunday! :laugh:0

Hello Hotties:
Everyone did great on last weeks challenge and we managed to get all of our miles in with only 5 people. Great Job!
I'm not trying to be petty or anything. Tonya is doing alot of work and mistakes are going to happen occasionally. Binky got a 4 pound advantage for 175 pushups, since Valarie did 200 pushups she would have gotten at least a 4 pound advantage and that would have brought our percentage to 1.78%. We should have come in first place. I'm only pointing that out to give us some extra motivation for the next week.
It looks like we MIGHT get extra credit for extra jumping jacks and burpees so I'm going to do extra. I'm not in very good shape so I'm not sure how many extra.
Hope everyone has a great week.

LET'S KICK SO HOTTIE BUTT THIS WEEK !!!!0

Hotties,
Some extra help for figuring out those fruits and veggies servings!
http://nutrition.about.com/od/fruitsandvegetables/f/servingfruit.htm
Where I found how to tell how many RAW veggies or fruits count as a serving!
Also I will be doing extra jumping jacks (JJ) and doing the burpees as well. Every little bit counts ladies! Keep up the good work!!!0 -
Hello ladies,
Reporting on my day:
2 serv fruit/veg
21 arm curls (I think this is a set of 21's)
350 jumping jacks-unmodified
I also walked 4.13 miles on the treadmill at 4% incline.
My arms are a little sore from the jumping jacks but I feel great. The last week or so I have been extremely happy (I guess it is the increase in exercise). I had a NSV I wanted to share with you guys. I put on my favorite jeans today and I can pull them off while buttoned, and they were really tight last June.
Oh...I hope we never get a penalty because I can't do a burpee to save my life.
Have a great night.0 -

-
You guys rock with the jumping jacks! I have 150 logged from monday-wednesday. I have done the biceps curls daily as well. 2 sets of 21 everyday... I cannot do jumping jacks today... I'm even sicker than before... even breathing is a chore... I will eat lots of f/v as I can tolerate... Right now I'm focusing on getting well... I really hope this doesn't turn into the flu, but as everyone is so kind to tell me I look and sound like death, which kinda sums up how I feel... You girls rock! I'm so proud of all of you! Keep it up hotties!
STAY STRONG. STAY FOCUSED. STAY POSITIVE!!
Until next time,
~Krystal~0 -
Wed

Thur
4 serv fruit/veg
21 arm curls
21 jumping jacks
Fri
5 serv fruit/veg
21 arm curls

I felt really tired Wed & Thur so I only did the minimum. I doubt I will see a loss tomorrow due to that t.o.m.0 -
Hi all
Super busy week plus having to put the dog down kinda messed me up. I did the min every day
21 jumping jacks and 21s every day
Drank water
ate fruit and veggies (sometimes 2 or 3 servings of same, like one big salad for a meal)
I also still maintained my walk/run schedule for 5 days. I am hoping to run one mile straight by end of year. Not bad for a middle aged chick with some lingering health issues!
I did not and cannot do a lot of ab work. I had all of my abdominal muscles severed and removed a few years ago in a frightening surgery that literally cut me in half. But I do the best I can with what I got....
todays weight 273.0 -
Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I did absolutely nothing today so I am ready to get back to work tomorrow.
I know some teams are using spread sheets to keep track of the challenges each week so I set one up for us. I hope this works for everyone. And if Krystal is unable to turn in our info then the data is available for any of us to turn in.
Here is the link:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjcRoYgSifbGdHFPRjFzSlVLRzkzMkE5NWk5MVREZGc&hl=en_US#gid=0
I think I got it set up right, if not let me know.

THANK YOU SHERRY!!! Thank you to all of you!!!! You guys are awesome!!0
-
Thanks for making the spreadsheet! It's awesome! I was able to do my woodchoppers tonight, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to every day. If I can't, I will post so that someone can hopefully help me out. I go back to the orthapedic surgeon again tomorrow to try and figure out what is going on with my arm. Thanks for the continuous support!0
-
Julie: If it's allowed, I would be happy to do your woodchoppers, I plan to do extra. If not, maybe ask what alternative exercise you can do. Don't do anything that might hurt your arm. Good luck tomorrow at your doctors appointment.0

I'm sorry Hotties! I seem to be in quite the funk this week. The doctor told me there was nothing more he could do and is referring me to yet another doctor. Over the last four months with my arm, I have been in a sling for 10 days, had X-rays, 4 weeks of physical therapy, an EMG, 2 visits to an orthapedic surgeon and a steroid shot with absolutely no relief. I'm worse now than I was before all these medical interventions. The doctors visit this week kind of broke my spirits. I'm frustrated and don't feel like anyone can help me. Now they are talking like its not my arm at all thats messed up but my spine, which scares me like crazy. I'm trying to keep up with my diet and stay within my calories, but I'm not eating as well as I need to be. My arm hurts way too much to do any exercise tonight, typing this is even difficult. I will try to do my best to make tomorrow better. Thank you so much for the continued support. Thanks for letting me vent.0

Julie: (Sorry I didn’t respond sooner.) I can relate to what you are going through. I started having pain in my right pec area, the side of my neck and around my scapula about 10 years ago. My doctor sent me to see an orthopedic surgeon. He made me feel like it was all in my head and that there was nothing wrong with me. He sent me to physical therapy but it didn’t help. Over the years when the pain would start getting bad I would go see a chiropractor or get a massage but it was only temporary relief. About a year and a half ago I got worse. The pain was in my neck, shoulder, back, and hips. I’m pretty sure my hip popped out of place, I heard a loud pop and I could not put any weight on my leg for 2 days. So I got more aggressive about trying to find out what was wrong with me. My massage therapist recommended an upper cervical chiropractor. He did x-rays on my neck and showed me that my neck was too far forward and curved to the left. I saw him for about 6-7 months. I improved at first but then didn’t see any improvement the last couple of months. My 1st rib on my front right side still moved out of place so I did research and read about prolotherapy, found an osteopathic doctor and made an appointment. I had my first visit right after Labor day. He sent me to have an MRI. Luckily there was no major damage, just some damage to the vertebras and disks in my neck and I have arthritis in my neck. He did osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). I have only had 4 visits and I have seen a huge improvement in my entire body. I still have 2 vertebras that are misaligned but my doctor said they should eventually move into place and my rib still pops out when I move my shoulder. My doctor said that he wouldn’t do prolotherapy on my rib because the area has a too high of risk or something like that.
Anyway, don’t be scared because the problem might be your spine and not your arm. Be happy that they might be closer to figuring out what is wrong with you. Have you tried getting a massage for the pain? I was always very reluctant to get a massage until my husbands’ uncle convinced me. He is an orthopedic massage therapist. He gave me a massage, not the relaxing kind. It was 2.5 hours long and painful, but after a few days I felt a lot better. He lives in another state but I make an appointment with him when I go home for Christmas. I also see a local massage therapist.
I hope your doctors figure it out soon.
I added 2 photos of me from about 2 years ago. You can see how my hips and shoulder were uneven and my neck curved to the side and was too far forward. They are in my profile, I don't know how to post them here. My posture is better now, my hips and shoulder are even and neck is almost where it should be.0 -
Hey Hotties:
Congratulations on getting getting first place this week.
I updated our spread sheet and included our goal weights for next week to include a 2% loss. Wow, even with our 2 lb advantage we need to lose 19.456 lbs as a group. I'm not sure I can lose 3.5 lbs but I will try, I don't want to do burpee's next week.
Everyone please log your info in the spread sheet, I think this will make things easier for Krystal since she currently does not have internet access at her new place.

MotivationMatters updated that we are supposed to lose 1% this week, not 2%. After our 2lb advantage we need to lose 8.728lbs as a group. That is realistic although hard.
WTG Hotties!!!
NSV: I went shopping last weekend and I bought myself size 12 jeans. (All my current jeans are size 16) I have a muffin top with them so I need to work really hard the next 3 1/2 weeks till Christmas.0
