Need some help. What is the best type of shoe to wear for the tough mudder? I have tried the webbed feet type shoe and didn't like it. Looking for a shoe / sneaker that is good for all weather conditions. Open to any and all ideas.

Thanks

Not sure.. I think your best bet might be to contact them directly and ask. Or even go to a sneaker store (you know, the ones that size your feet help you pick the perfect shoe). They will probably have some advice as well.

I'm serious here: wear something you're willing to lose. Have you been?

I haven't competed but I went to one and you should have seen the pile at the end. The shoes were all but destroyed. I am about to do the warrior dash and will wear an old pair of my favorite running shoes. I saw people in vibrams saying they did the trick, but I wouldn't spend a lot of money that will prob get thrown down the drain.

    Best,

I would wear something I didn't care about throwing away after the event.

WEAR OLD SHOES.....the majority of hte people that went, that i saw, wore regular tennis shoes. lots of people threw their shoes in the pile, they give them to charity, so wear somehting that you're willing to chuck out, but something with good traction on the bottom, something that breathes, since your going to be treading through water so it can all drain out!

Ditto the rest of the posts....I've done an event like the Tough Mudder and you don't want to wear shoes in the current running cycle. I always keep a pair of old black or gray tennis shoes around just for these events. The local fire department is usually there too to hose you and your shoes down. Don't bother with socks either!
