Hello, my name is Jessica. I'm a 36 year old wife and mother of 2. I started struggling with my weight about 3 years ago, following a tragic car accident which crushed both femurs, right hip, left knee and right ankle/foot. After nearly a year of reconstructive surgeries, physical therapy and all sorts of medications that ranged from making me sick to my stomach and unable to eat for days on end to the Zoloft and sterroids that made me want to stuff everything in sight down my neck, I'm finally off of all medications and ready to take some sort of control back of my life! I, at one point, had skyrocketed up to 275 pounds (started at about 190) and my husband sadly gained right along with me. We started watching our calorie intake and going to the gym 3 to 5 days a week in January and I've gotten down to 248. (My husband has gone from 291 down to 252) but the scale has stopped moving for me. We found this site and thought the information and tools available may help get me out of my rut and offer up new suggestions to get the scale moving again in the right direction. It's always nice and encouraging to read how others are going through the same thing as myself and it's inspiring to see the successes that so many have attained. Best of luck to us all as we continue on this journey!

Jessica
