What is it like? Is it a strict menu plan or does it give leeway for your own choices?

  • It is very flexible. You can follow their exact mean plans which requires a lot of time in the kitchen or you can take the "portion control" approach which I do. I'm on Round 2. It has taught me SO MUCH about proper nutrition when I thought I used to know a lot already. It is not a weight loss program so you actually increase your calories by 600.

It's flexible I think. I love it! I wrote down all the meals I like on notecards and I arrange them on my fridge each day!

Yep, it's really flexible. It gives you an idea of how much one portion of carb is, one portion of protein, etc. Then you figure out according to the guidelines what *level* you are eating and figure out how many of each you should be eating. It also changes depending on what *phase* you are in. Let me know if you have more questions about it!

Nah- if you have the guidelines it's all spelled out for you. It really helped me keep the eating on track!
  • p90x is very easy to follow as it explains how much is one serving so all you have to do is plan your meals based around the servings of each food group.
