A little bit nervous

Sooo... What do you do when you reach your goal? I've never actually gotten here before and am scared to "relax" a little. I've lost over 70lbs and am in the best shape of my life... I guess I'm more than a little nervous about losing some of the muscle tone I've built if I don't work out for a couple hours ever day.
I could use some wise words from others who have successfully maintained.
Thanks!

The " new you " is not just a phase ... it is now a " life style " and you should continue to eat healthy and workout as normal. It wasn't just a quest to get there .... it was a journey ... building the character that now defines you ... don't be nervous ... be proud ! :)
  • Sure wish i could help ya but I am not there yet..Congrats to you!!

CONGRATULATION! :flowerforyou: just keep on doing what you have been doing...adjust you calories and stay on top if it.
I still weigh every day but I give myself a 5 lbs range (2 below and 2 above my goal) Than has worked for me!

maintainence is just as important as the journey... set the calories and workouts to keep the weight and muscle within the 10 pound range you want (there will and should be fluctuation)

I feel ya - I wonder about how things will go for me when I reach my goal weight. Statistically, the odds are against us, but i hope that over time those stats will change as more and more people figure out how to live a healthier lifestyle. Once I get to my goal weight, my new goal will be to maintain for 5 years. When the 5 years pass I plan on getting a t-shirt made for myself that says "Freak of Nature."

You're going to have to play around with your calories and exercise level and find a balance between the two. Don't beat yourself up if you change something and gain 2 or 3 lbs. Just keeep making adjustments until you reach an equilibrium. Good luck! I'm almost there myself!
