blisters on top of blisters... under thick callus???

ok so I religiously wear my vibram five fingers when I run/walk and workout... lately I've been going for longer runs/walks and I've developed two huge blisters under the callus on my heal.the callus is a great thing but I can't really deal with the blisters that have formed under it.
should I try to lance the blisters, or let them go away on their own?
its like a blister on top of another blister...
help??

I use vibrams as well, and I had the same problems. I always lanced em after 2 or 3 days, when the skin below has started to toughen up. Then I actually trimmed off the calluses, and then they would be tender for a couple of runs, but then toughen right up and be back to normal.

I have always been told NOT to lance blisters. They heal faster if they are not broken. Do you think that the fit of your shoes is causing them?0

You may look into Band Aid Friction Block while you're breaking them in. I wear heels every day and am always breaking in new pairs. This stuff saves me a lot of discomfort. http://www.drugstore.com/band-aid-active-friction-block-stick/qxp1634040

i've been using them for many months now. they fit fine, but seem to get looser as I sweat but I'm sure that its just because they are wet.0
