I started my healthy lifestyle three months ago and my cals (set by MFP) were at 1600 In that time I've lost 40lbs. I had it change them to 1520 but I was hungry so I changed them back. After this weeks weigh in it suggested dropping again. I current weigh 261lbs. Is it worth dropping my cals now or wait till I hit a plateau?

Depends on how you feel. If you're still losing and feel good, why drop them? MFP wants me at 1200 and I just can't live on that, so I manually put it back to 1300 and I'm still losing. May not be as fast, but I'm in no hurry, this is my life now! I say if you're happy, keep it. You may need to drop them eventually, so if you want to try it that's fine, but if you're hungry... EAT!

Congrats on the 40 pound loss... that's great work! Keep it up!

I was fiddling with mine for the longest time, changing from active to sendintary depending on if I was working or not...I guess I stopped messing with it for a while because recently, MFP said "you have lost 10 pounds since you last changed your goals. would you like MFP to adjust your goals?" (or something like that) I had never seen it before, i actually thought it was a new feature.

I went from 1310 cals to 1230 a day. I thought that was kind of a big stretch...but I left it because I tend to be under anyway.
That advice up there^^^ sounds good. If you are hungry too often, adjust it on your own, just keep it in the zone that will still let you lose.

Congrats on the 40 pounds! keep it up! (or rather, keep it going down!)
