I just started on this site and app. Have recorded all my food and drink. I'm always under my calorie intake but over my protein intake. Is that bad to have too much protein? I am not doing a high protein diet that I know of. lol

why have you called this post 'carbs' when it's not about carbs?

And the mfp default allowance of protein is prettylow. you can customise your macronutrient (Protein/Carb/Fat) percentages according to your needs/goals.
  • too early in the morning??

It's fine (and actually I would recommend it) to exceed MFP's protein suggestion, provided the following:

    1) You are not regularly exceeding your calorie goal
    2) You are not continually neglecting fat intake in order to accomplish the above.
  • I'm under my fat intake , I'm under all my intakes but the protein and Thanks!! :)

    I'm under my fat intake

Short term this is fine but I wouldn't make it a habit to neglect dietary fat.
  • Thanks again for replying, I'm not way under my fat intake, just 4 to 5 points a day. MFP says I should 46 grams of fat and
    I will have only 41.
