Gazelle, should I bother?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm new to all this exercise stuff ;) An acquaintance has offed me a gazelle for next to free and I was wondering if I should get it? I'd use it fairly regularly (while watching tv haha), but I'm leery of "as seen on tv" type of stuff.
Can I get a decent calorie burn on this thing? I've never used one, it kind of seems like you mightnot have to do much work on it? It looks like the momentum would keep you going without much effort....but that's just from first glance what I thought. I'd like to know what people who have actually used it think.
Thanks
Misty

I have one and I used it for like a month. I learned being around people works for me so I go to classes at the gym. I don't think I burned much using it either. I would pass unless you don't have many options.
  • I have one...in my basement. Haven't used it much, but I enjoyed it when I did. Not sure on the burn. I have a HRM now and should check it out. It's easy on the knees that's a plus and it's quiet, that helps in front of the t.v. and why set idle if you can be moving while watching the t.v. Every little bit helps. There are different things you can do on it to make it more difficult also. Good Luck!
