Hey everyone! So I started my diet a few months ago and I was doing great. But then stress along with personal issues and flat out lazyness got in the way and I stopped. So I was talking to my dad today and I decided that I want to start again. With summer coming up in a few months (and me living in florida) I want to be able to rock out that bikini!

I need some help though because im new to the whole diet thing. What are some exercises to do for weight loss? I've decided to try running a few days a week, but I need some ideas that are inexpensive as im not working now.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

I'm in the same boat as you! I fit into a size 8 and totally gave up for a week and fell off the wagon completely. NOW the 8s don't fit. I'm so disappointed. But I'm back now, day two, feel a ton better! Definitely running is a great way to lose weight and it is completely addictive. I would say stick with running, set some goals, and run some races. They are a great way to stay motivated!

Well I don't know your situation but I walk in my living room to Leslie Sansones 3 mile workout .But I have 3 kids and its the middle of winter here.Walking is a wonderful way to lose weight. And Leslies videos are effective. You burn a ton of calories in a short amount of time. She has different types of videos I like the 3 miles because its 45 minutes total and I am done.I do this 6 days a week and on day 7 I take a break!! Brisk walking is great if you are able to get outside unfortunately I can't right now because we have about 6 inches of snow outside and its like -14 out!!I hope this helps.GOOD LUCK:smile:

Hey, I'm new to the site, but I've been an athlete most of my life until post college. Here are some things that you can do at home that I personally dont mind doing, especially when I am waiting for laundry to finish, or in between chores:
    1. If you have stairs, quick feet hitting two feet per stair, then walk down.
    2. step ups on the stairs
    3. lunges are really great, if you do them in a circle, you get alot done quickly, left foot first straight forward, then to 45 degree angle, side lunge, 45 degree back, then straight back, then switch to right leg to complete the circle. (better you get at them, hold some soup cans for add'l weight)
    4. push ups are a great thing, farther apart your hands, more chest, closer is for triceps, you can do them assisted on you knees.

    Hope that helps!
