Is playing an acustic guitar kinda lightly sitting down count as exercise?

no. i wouldn't count it. you're not doing too much physically straining activity.0

you could stand up? two of my MFPals log guitar playing/standing regularly - they seem to get reasonable numbers doing it too!0

I dont play guitar but i do play piano and i would not log piano as exercise. If you were standing and playing that might be different.0

You could headbang while playing. Jumping helps too.. Great cardio work out!0

I don't count it any more but I used to when I was less active. I wore my HRM on several occasions, and depending on what I was playing, even sitting down I got my HR well above 100 bpm on most occasions. The fact that you are sitting is immaterial. It's all about what you're doing while sitting. If you sit in a chair and throw punches in the air you will get a good cardio burn. This is not necessarily different.0
