i need to loose 701bs by march 2012 and be rady to cycle 100k

Is this doable? or have i set my goals to high???

    No harm in reaching for the stars if that is what drives you on but be careful to eat sensibly and not to kick yourself too hard if you don't make your target. 70lbs is a big ask on your body so perhaps seeking medical advice for such a loss would be a good idea?

    3.5lbs per week? thats a lot, as between 1-2 lbs per week is the suggested healthy amount to lose.

    Why do you need to have lost 70lbs? surely working on your fitness is the important thing?

    my health is the most important!

    i would just love to walk into the room on March 12 in a little black dress size 10 and be able to say Yes i done it!!!

    its a massive ask and my doctor is the one that has kinda set the goal. i am hoping if i loose the weight i will have no need for surgery!!! and 12th march is when i see my specialist again.
  • It is possible to lose 70lbs by March 2012, if you started in October, although it's a hard ask on the body to handle sometimes. There are people on here that have lost 70lbs in 4-6 months and have all got their own way and advice, but one thing that is necessary is serious calorie control and daily exercise.

    I had 80lb to lose and I've actually set myself an 12month goal which is roughly 6.66lbs a month or roughly 1.5lb a week - although inside of me I hope I can do it within 6 months by upping my exercise and naturally adjusting my calorie intake..

    Good luck anyway and if it's recommended by a Doctor, then hopefully the doctor can also recommend the best and safest way to do it as well..
