Hi! My name is Jamie and a little over a year ago I started my journey on loosing weight. I was 246 pounds and I have had enough. As of today I have lost almost 100 pounds and would still like to loose a bit more. So I joined myfitnesspal to track my weight, workouts and calorie intake. So if anyone has any advice or secrets to their success I would be more than happy to hear them. :)

Log on every day and Try to eat as close to whole as you can. Do yourself a favor and buy a food scale, It keeps you honest.
    Welcome and good luck.:drinker:

welcome to the site and glad to have you. I used this site to lose almost 50lbs over a year ago. went away for a while but just got back on about a week ago. This site has great ppl and things to help. Also I would say get a good HRM for your excising to get a good cal count on you so you know what your burning. Best of luck and welcome. Feel free to add me if you want.

Remember to be honest, if you eat it, log it!!! Pretty simple. You will find out how many calories are in some foods and find out they just aren't worth it. I have been here since March but I started in January pushing 200lb mark and worked hard and reached 150 in July, yesterday I was 147, I am happy with where I'm at and need to tone more but haven't found the gym in over a month. I switched teams and used to work out with someone, now it's just me and since I'm trying to lose I just find no energy to push myself to get there. I have also found that if I deny myself I can end up angry at times, grrr... I work a rotating swing shift so the day I come off of nights and only eat 1-2 times I have a cheat meal if I am craving something. It has worked for me so far. Recently I eat all day on football Sunday that I'm off so I will eat less calories in case I go over on Sunday, my wiggle room. To maintain I can have 1840 cal/day as long as I don't go over that I'm good!!!! Good luck and feel free to add me so you can see my food diary.
