I lost 20 pounds about a year and a half ago using MFP. Stopped checking in, stopped monitoring my portions and the pounds starting creeping back on. Then the creeping turned into full steam ahead. I have gained every ounce back and added on about 6 more pounds!!!

I think that I am accepting the fact that I can't ever stop monitoring....doesn't mean I have to be on a diet for the rest of my life but means that I will always need to monitor my portions and stop when I am full.

Have a challenge with my friend who is in the same situation as me....lost together on MFP and both have gained it back.

Would love to find some more supports out there!!! Anyone want to be "MFP friends"?

I love supporting. Request on its way and I'll be keeping an eye on you. Lol
  • I hear you loud and clear! I know I can never stop monitoring....it will have to be the rest of my life. :( I think food is an addiction for me.... I'll be your friend!! Welcome back! It is nice to have a place to go where you can get support and encouragement from people, even if we are complete strangers!
The main thing is when we fall off the wagon, we get right back on!! :)

I'm in!! (I'll send you a request.) I too had lost weight (30#) 3-4 years ago and over the last 2 years, 10 of those have crept back on (it's easy to do) and I've struggled to take it off again (this, not so easy!). Joined MFP a few months ago and plan to take it off once and for all. I know now that tracking & weighing my food is pertinent to my success in getting where I want to be and staying there! Let's do this!!
