I just bought a half bushel of Fuji apples. Anybody have any good recipes to share?

I peel them and cook them in the crock pot, very easy and healthy applesauce. My kids love it warm with some cinnamon on top.

    Apple upside down cake

    3/4 cup sugar
    3 tbsp. butter
    1 egg
    2 tbsp milk
    2 apples
    1 tbls brown sugar

    Cut apples and set aside
    prepare 9x9 baking dish
    Mix all ingredients.
add apples and 1 Tbs. brown sugar to th bottom of the pan and pour batter on top.
Bake 350 for 30-45 min. or until toothpick comes out clean, Start checking after 30 min

Also you can peel and cut apples, place on a sheet pan and freeze.
After they freeze put them in freezer bags to use all winter long.

Mmmm... apple upside down cake sound so yummy! Actually, you reminded me of one of my own recipes... apple bottom cheesecake. It's not calorie friendly but if anyone wants it, I can post it later.

Idk what to call it but its a healthy little snack
Make apple slices out of apples
    Put on baking sheet.
Sprinkle with mix of truvia and apple pie seasoning
(You can always use canola oil to soften them)
Bake at 375 for 5 to 10 minutes.
    Yum.

I LOVE baked apples. :D They're really super easy and simple to make, and I bet with Fuji they'd be really tasty...

Core an apple, but DON'T cut it all the way through--you want to hollow it out, not core it completely. Put it in the microwave for five minutes. Pull it out, sprinkle with cinnamon, and devour. Super delicious--tastes like apple pie without the crust!

You can also, for a slightly LESS healthy snack, put some butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon into the center of the apple before you nuke it. Less good for you, but even more delicious. :P

Really wish I had some peanut butter to try the last one!
