I was over at my in laws yesterday to visit my husbands grandparents before they left to go back to New York. (His grandparents are in their sixties) I was happy to hear the news I received.
Carol (his grandmother) gave me a hug and said that I was looking good. Later in the kitchen she had asked what all I had been doing. I told her that I have been watching what I've been eating and exercising every day. Then she had asked what kind of exercise I had been doing. I told her about Richard Simmons dvds, the biggest loser, and the Wii.
Carol told me that Lee (her husband) has been fixing and portioning her meals every day. She continued to tell me that she has been going for walks every day around their neighborhood, and walks every day for thirty minutes..
She has lost a total of twenty pounds so far! She said that it was all because of me! I inspired her to get out and get eat right every day.
Carol continued to tell me that sometimes Lee doesn't know what to fix or how to fix certain things. I told her that what ever recipe I find, and fix I will send to her. I also told her to that I would send her an email about this site, and that it's free to join. Plus that way she knows exactly how much she needs to be eating every day and about how long she needs to exercise every day.
I am so glad that I have inspired her to do this, and make this change in her life. She has diabetes, and problems with her knees but she still finds the time to get out every single day to walk. I am truly blessed to have motivated someone that I have shocked and surprised with how far I have come every time she sees me.
