So, I have had gastric bypass and eat very little at any one sitting. I am eating a very high protein diet and of course that seems to leave very little room for grains...at least if i want to stick to the doctor/nutitionists plan, and i do. So, I was curious if you had any high protein grains that you have in your diet that might fit the bill. Any advice is greatly appreciated. BTW, I live in the southern US...thought that might make a difference as to wether or not i can find certain items here. Thanks a bunch.

quinoa kinda has high protein but nothing close to lean proteins or fish0

As mentioned, quinoa has high protein for a grain. Hulled barley (NOT pearl barley) has close to the same protein content as quinoa, but has a very different texture (much firmer, like chewier rice). I love them both!0

I think ezekiel bread is a good one too0

Is your doctor wanting you to make sure you eat grains or do you just prefer to fit them in?0
