    My son did it last year. He even posted progress pictures on Facebook. All I can say is "Ugh".

    Do you actually think this raises awareness for anything? Please. If you don't want to shave then just don't shave. Don't fool yourself into thinking you are helping cure cancer.

    We're here talking about it aren't we? And if they raise more than $0 then that's something.

    Good grief, get over yourself. It's raising awareness and money. My son is participating in Movember and already raising money.

    i honestly do. they raised 43 million last year in one month. just like i believe shaving your head in march raises awareness and money for children's cancers, just like i believe signing up for a llls walk raises awareness and money for leukemia and lymphoma, just like i believe buying 'pink' products raises awareness and money for breast cancer. maybe it doesn't and that's wishful thinking on my part. i don't know. but i do know that i support any effort to raise awareness and wish more guys participated.

    When No Shave November hit my college campus the guys all jumped on board, so my female friends and I instituted our own version of No Shave November. The boys all shaved about a week into it as a result. All is fair in love and war.

    To be noted, they absolutely weren't doing it to raise awareness for anything.
