I wore my polar F6 for he heck of it to see what i'd burn shovelling the huge amounts of snow that has fallen in my driveway today.....and I was blown away!! I was out there for 40 minutes and burned 261 calories!! I didn't even think to add it to my journal until I saw those numbers!

wow, awseome! We have tons too, but our driveway is too big to shovel. Gotta pay to get it plowed.
I really want to get a heart monitor.0 -

I bought the F6 two weeks ago after some research, and I absolutely love it, the machines at the gym, are way off for me, and I could never figure out what I was burning while weight training, turns out i'm burning 60 calories more per hour of weight training than what was posted! invest in one, it's so worth the money0 -
Ditto....I love my Polar F6. What an eye opener it was to see how many calories I was actually burning. The guess work is over:flowerforyou: One good thing to be said about snow is shovelling snow is definitely a calorie burner:bigsmile: :bigsmile:0

We have about 13 inches here right now, and I spent about an hour shovling and I was so sweaty when I was done. I really need to get my heart rate monitor soon. I wonder if my hubby will ever get the hint that I want one. Maybe Valentines day???0

Wish we had some snow. We had our once every seven year snow fall last month. It's 50 degrees, wet, windy, and nasty. I really admire all of you. I couldn't have it all of the time. I bet shoveling snow is rough work. I'll stick to my 95 degrees summers with 98% humidity.0
