I know this is a selfish thing to say, but i really am sick of this *kitten*. EVERY day I work out, EVERY day I make sure to stay in my calories and did great. Now all of the sudden the brakes have slammed on and nothing. I TIRED of this damn *kitten* 180 pound wall I have always hit and want to give up. I am really down today, i am too tired to fight myself physically, hate the way I look and feel soon and just don't know what to do in general to feel any better.
Please help.

I have been stuck at the 13-14lb mark for months! I have cried about it quite a few times :) If you are religious about your calorie limit, try upping it for a week :D Or making sure to eat more protein (that helped me)... or take a week off of exercise! :D

"DO or DO NOT..there is no try.

Life isn't measured by how many times you fall, rather, how many times you get up. Keep getting up..you are in control of that. "

^^^^^^^^^ Seeing as this is your signature on your post, perhaps take a listen to your own message. You didn't gain the weight over night, and it's not going to come off overnight either. The point is to not give up on yourself. Ya, the scale may not move for awhile, but as long as you are exercising, and eating within your calorie limit, you know that you will feel good about yourself. Even if your not losing right now, at least you are not gaining! Which is a goal in and of itself.

If you feel like you have hit a plateau (I don't know how long you have been stuck at this number) then try chaning things up a bit. Do some different exercises, add some weights in with your cardio, so that it will help shock your system.

You can push through this, you can do it. Have faith in yourself!

I am writing you as I have recently overcome my "170 wall" I have struggled just like you to get beyond that wall.. THEN SUDDENLY this last 2 weeks, it started to go away.. In fact, 2 days ago I was 162.8... I HAVEN'T been that low since college!!!!! I have a ways to go, and I may run into some snags, but I am glad I didn't give up.. I was like you a month ago.. I was hating this, I wanted to eat junk.. (it was a 2 month plateau almost) I thought that my body doesn't want to get beyond 170.. then it happened.. I just kept working.. I did switch up my foods and eat some different things.. but didn't starve myself.. ate within my calories and exercised as I had.. SO you CAN DO IT TOO!!!!!! You will get below 180lbs.. Change a few minor things to get your mind distracted and think positive and it will happen for you too!!! I appreciate where you are.. and its a frustrating place.. I wish you the best, and hope you stick with it to see that 170.. Tamara
  • You wanna know what motivates me...the friction from my thighs catching my underwear on fire!!!!

Ok girl if you are sick of the way you look DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!! Don't give up!!!!! You weren't being selfish joining and wanting to be a better you, we all have down days, quit running into the wall, CRAWL OVER THAT WALL!, quit fight yourself, FIGHT FOR YOURSELF!

Step 1: print out some motivational sayings tape them on the ceiling above your bed, in the car, on the mirrors, hang them on the fridge, walls, lampshades, everywhere.....I taught my kids to spell and read this way...they learned......so can you learn to motivate and inspire yourself
Step 2: watch someone's inspring story on TV or a movie.....look at how hard they are struggling and what they went to to overcome it, If they can do it you can do it....maybe your wall is a plateau you need to bust out of by switching up what your doing for a week.
Step 3: NEVER GIVE UP! If I had giving up I would be in a wheelchair right now! I am walking upright and losing. I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!
Step 4: THIS IS THE BIG ONE......FIND SOME HUMOR IN YOUR LIFE....I can find the humor in almost anything!

Feel free to review my entire month and a half on this site and tell me where I need to change something and I gladly will try anything. I keep my calories like a rollar coaster and it has worked up till now. Changing up what I eat is very difficult in my house as I am the only one who 100% is doing this. I have 2 kids that are extremely picky as is my gf about what she eats. I won't spend money on all kinds of things that only I will eat as I need to make sure the kids have plenty of stuff they eat.
