Working in a "doughnut shop"

Hello all,
I work in a department that will find almost any excuse to bring in food and treats. They can range from stuff like cheese cubes, to veggies, all the way to cookies, and doughnuts. Yesterday, for Halloween, I brought in Pumpkin bread. Our manager is leaving for surgery today and there is a freaking smorgasbord on the table and it wants me to partake. I'm trying not to - filling up on water/soup, chewing gum, and just generally not walking in that direction.
What do you guys do when you have such situations?
If you think this is bad - in December, they do a whole month of goodies, accurately known around the dept. as Gluttonfest. My work place is not conducive to a diet.
Help, with a side of Oy, Vey!

People, in general, and especially friends are far more understanding than we give them credit. Remain strong, in the end they will admire you for your commitment, conviction and efforts.0

Wish I knew what to tell you as I just seem to stay fat because I always give in. Sometimes I wish I could just take a pill that would keep me sick at my stomach so I couldn't eat anything. I am starting to feel like this is hopeless for me.0

It can be tough. I brought all of the leftover Halloween candy to my co-workers today. When you're tempted by something calling you from the table, ask yourself if it's worth it. Are the calories you are about to consume that good, or will those calories impede your ultimate goal?0

Have the same issue at my work - there will always be some "goodies" in the break room. I would make sure that you bring some healthy snacks/food with you to work and continue filling up on water, chewing gum, and not going to where the food is. Maybe have some of the goodies but just track your calories and adjust with other meals/exercise.0

My old job was next to a deli. and i would eat there EVERYDAY until i gained 20 lbs. Now i have my own company and work from home.... so i surround myself with lots of healthy foods. Working in an environment like that is hard!0
