Need opinions!!!
What do you all think? I just got told a couple weeks ago that I only have until the end of November at my current job. I happened to post on FB that I was looking for a new job and my old boss messaged me and told me I could come back to work for her. Sounds great! Except: 1) I hated that job, and 2) it's a significant pay cut. At the same time, it's a job, right? What do you all think?

Looking for a job is easier when you have a job.
Take it, then if things haven't changed you can look for another.0 -

^^this 150%
be sure to let them know when you take the job, however, that it is temporary and you will be looking for something more permanent and "in your field".
EDIT: for added thought

Just because you take the job doesn't mean you can't keep looking. Maybe not the nicest thing to do, but at least you'll be able to pay your bills...0

Not only do I agree with RoadDog, but if you don't take the job, may I have it.Looking for a job is easier when you have a job.

I second the sentiment that having a job is better than having to look for one without having one! Start now sending your resume to all the recruiters you know! If you want a list, send me a note and I will give you some leads... The future is always better for those who look positively at things!0

I am an HR Manager - I would not advise telling the employer that it will be temporary. They will likely not hire you. It is very difficult to find a job right now, so unless you have something else come up in the meantime, I would take the opportunity!0

I AGREE. esp in these hard times!0 -
I agree with all of those who say take the job and keep looking. Companies are actually discriminating against the unemployed. Lame but true.

I'm actually looking for an HR position. My first "real" job was with a recruiting group, and I would love to get back into it. That being said, I kind of knew that it would be a good idea to take the job, but it's always nice to get some affirmation
