Just so everyone knows. . . . I have completely fallen off the wagon and am having a devil of a time getting back on. I think after everything calms down this week, I will be okay. But I am an emotional eater and this has been one hell of a week! Plus, this Saturday, I am co-chairing a fundraiser for my best friends son (he has cancer). So I have been super busy, super stressed, and way over emotional. And now my son is sick with a stomach bug. But I got this. I know that I am not doing as good as I should be, but I am still working on things. I am working on setting new goals and eating healthier. But I keep putting it off. And in all honesty, I feel like I don't know how to start again. Make sense?

In the words of President Obama, "Yes you can!" Maybe it was "yes WE can", but you get the point. LOL! Start logging. NOW. That's how you start. Find maybe a pair of jeans or something you would like to fit into and put it in clear sight. Get rid of all the garbage in the house, and tonight head to the store and pre-make some fast easy healthy meals on the go. It's soooo very hard, but just think...one year from now, you will have wished you started TODAY! Get on it, doggonit! :-))))

When I struggle with getting control back, I will go low low carbs for about a week. I pretty much let myself eat what I want as long as its protein or low sugar veggies (less than 25 g of carbs a day, so no carrots peas, fruits, potatos etc.) Usually within 2 to 3 days, my carb binge/cravings subsides and I am able to start to incorporate whole grain carbs
  • I understand. We have all fallen off the wagon before. We just have to be determine enough that everytime we fall off to get up dust off and get back on . I've fallen more than once. I dont give up though , I dust off and get back on. If you stay down to long it's hard to get motivated enough to get back on. Hang in there, you can do it . I believe in you.

I like this advice but as a type 2 diabetic, I need more carbs than that. I am insulin dependant and with out at least 50 - 60 at breakfast, my day is shot. I can go lower the rest of the day, just not breakfast.

Definitely do what you can! You can do this! Also, remember exercise makes you more insulin sensitive and can also help with cravings. Everyday is new and tomorrow is your first new day :)
