I like this recipe because it's versatile. Top toast with it, use it for sloppy joes, stuff tortillas with it for burritos or tacos or eat it just as is! This recipe is quick and easy and comes together in about half an hour!
1 lb ground turkey
1 tbsp oil
1 white or yellow onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp lime juice
2 tsp cumin
1 500ml (approx) can/jar tomatoes
1 can black or kidney beans, drained
Salt and Pepper to taste
Hot sauce to taste
1. In a large frying pan brown turkey in oil. When no longer pink, add onion and garlic.
2. When onion is translucent, add chili powder, cumin and lime juice. Stir well to coat turkey and onion with spices.
3. Add tomatoes and beans. Cover the pan and simmer chili for 20 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and hot sauce to taste.
Serve!
