Tool for calculating calories burned

Options
I just came across this and thought I'd share:

http://www.braydenwm.com/calburn.htm

It's a calculator that tells you how many calories you've burned based on age, weight, average heart rate, and duration of exercise. It may not be super accurate but if you don't have a HRM it could be helpful. Only thing is you'd need to make sure to stop for a pulse count several times during your workout to keep track of your heart rate!

Sweet! I've been looking for something a little more accurate then what the machine at the gym tells me. (Because I know its numbers must be too good to be true.) The elliptical I like the most at the gym allows me to enter weight and reads my heart rate, and usually tells me that I burn about 700-750 calories.
But I never write in my diary that I have burned more than 500 - just to be on the safe side as I don't want to eat too much.

Thanks for posting this! As you say, it's probably not 100% accurate, but it gives a ballpark amount at least!
