Nut Butter on the rise

I just learned there is a shortage on peanuts due to the dry summer and peanut prices will be rising, I don't know about you but nut butter is a major food group in my house, I'm not sure if this effects other nuts but it wouldn't surprise me....better stock up now!

    A friend says sunflower seed butter is really good, haven't tried it yet.

    make your own in a food processor. It's really easy, you just blend nuts. Can add a bit of olive oil or something too if they are too dry. But it is a good way of making a healthier version with no salt or sugar etc.

    Thanks for the heads up! We eat ALOT of peanut butter. In fact, it is my 'go to' snack. I will be buying several jars for sure.

    It's been mentioned a couple times but hasn't played out here as yet, Just got a 1kg jar for $6 which is a reduction compared to the usual $4 for 500grams.... $2 more for twice as much... I did buy 3 though as it was a good price.

    I make my own. It hasn't been an issue finding the nuts yet.
