Every year after Christmas, I take a deep breathe and relax knowing that the temptation of holiday goodies is gone. No longer do I holiday confections make their way into my dreams in the form of ninjas who stalk me in the kitchen, at work, and in friend and families' homes. The decorations have come down. The cheery music had been tapered off mainstream radio. No more advertisments scream at me from my news sites every morning. I was unknowningly being lulled into a false sense of security.
I went to the store today to pick up a card and was accosted by bright red, pink, and white boxes. OH NO!!! Valentine's Day is upon us. I feel like my one weakness has been discovered by my local grocery store. They have discovered my achilles heal. Somehow, they knew that if they placed row, after row, after row of these chalky, teeth cracking candies directly in my path that I wouldn't be able to resist. So, now after consuming a box (or two) , I have decided to defeat my arch enemy, the Valentine's Day Sweetheart.

I'll miss you "Cutie Pie", goodbye "I luv you". "TTYL"

  • I too am in LOVE with those Sweethearts but my real downfall is Cadbury Creme Eggs! Who knew it was humanely possible to pack that many calories in a creamy delicous and almost sickly-sweet little egg??? I LOVE them so much!! My mouth is watering like pavlovs dog and yes, believe it or not they have ALREADY hit stores! What the??? Its January still! I am so sure that I won't be able to resist the temptation for 3 more months...oh boy
