Hey all,
I am on week 3 of my C25k challenge and i have a couple of questions for you who are doing it or have done it.
Did you do any other cardio exercise aswell as this?
Did you find you put on weight or stayed the same at any point?
thanks all

hey there! I am on week 3 as well...and i am not sure if it is coincidental or not, but since i started running I am finally showing a loss on the scale. I have been eating consistent, logging my food, not cheating and working out consistently for about 6 weeks now, so it may just be that my body was finally ready to start losing, but I am sure the running helped. I do this in addition to my normal workouts. I try to get 3 60 min workouts in a week or strength training, but the type of workouts i do are also cardio driven, no resting between sets, so I get a cardio pump too. I also do some spin workout intermittently.0

I was doing the 30min of c25k, another 15min of various cardio and then 20 min weights.0

On "between" days I did EA Sports Active 2, which is an exercise "game," but pretty much the same thing as any circuit training workout dvd. Or elliptical, or bike, or walking/hiking with the dog. And consistently lost weight.... I think I was down about 12 pounds by the time I finished C25K.
I kept up with the running, easing up to being running 10k, and have lost a total of 35 pounds. I aim to run between 3-6 miles, 3-4 days a week, with two days of strength training plus other cardio (bike or elliptical).0 -
I just finished C25K last week. In addition to the program, I would walk on the steep incline after my run on C25K days and do 30-60 minute on the elliptical on my off day.....but I am a bit of a cardio addict. Make sure you get some strength training in there too!
I lost 14 pounds in my first 9 weeks.0 -
