leggings

i'm wondering if any of you can tell me where to find some warm, thick leggings that i can wear alone on slightly chilly days or layer under another pair of pants when it's brutally cold out. I walk my dogs for exercise and I'm afraid if it's too cold outside I'll either shorten or blow off their walks (even though I REALLY don't want to as I know walking is just as good for them as it is for me). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!

I wear sweater leggings that I bought at body central last year. They work great and still look stylish.0

I got some leggings for $5 at rue 21. If you don't ha e one I've also seen them at Walmart for a bit more. Not sure what Tue fabric is, but I think they'd even work under jeans.0
