Hi

I would just like to know is there an accurate way of knowing how many calories I have burned when doing strength training?

Would using my HRM help, or is that just for cardio?

Thanks

There is a strength training under cardio - I just add that in!

I just go with what My fit pal says. It then creates a huge deficit for you.
Its to hard to determine how one works out so My Fit Pal does it for you.

I would just add weight training under cardio (it is there) and go with what it says.
Mine says I burn 200 cals for like 50 minutes. I know that is bogus but I like knwoing that I am probably under alot more at the end of the day.

If you are not satisfued with that then you would need hrm or some kind of gagit to determine how many cals you burn.
It probably will change every single day too

Thanks I will use what mfp says.

I have a HRM but I have a feeling it will completely over estimate calories burned if I use it for weight training.
