This week has been a very good reminder about why my diet & excercise program is so important. My life got very got hectic due to power outages - not only at home but at my gym. The kids were out of school - we stayed with family - we ate out - ate too much - had some wine to calm the nerves - and I didn't get to work out. And you know what? I feel like CRAP. It was only a few days - but it really makes a difference for me - in so many ways. So - I'm BAAAACK. The scale will probably be up when I weigh in tomorrow but I don't even care - next week will be a different story and I'm looking forward to feeling better again.....

I know just how you feel. We still do not have power. I am camping at my parents, who have a generator with two small kids. Praying it comes back soon. It is so hard to be good under these conditions!! I belong to the Y, but out of necessity, they have opened it to the public, and you can barely get in the door!

    Where are you from?

Power in my gym went out over the weekend too - damn snowstorm!! Fortunately we didn't lose ours, thanks to our town having their own electric co. and not being on CL&P.

Awesome! They are saying ours will be up on Friday. Hope it's before then. I am happy to be at work where it's warm!

I'm in Franklin, Massachusetts. Read the scariest article about global climate changes causing weird storms like we've been experiencing...nothing you can do about it - which is what's so scary about it....but I'll just have to be tolerant and not think about it too much ....! :-)

Looks like you guys got hit hard to by the storm..Over 500,000 folks in NJ lost power and many still are without it. What a mess! Glad to see some out there are getting their power back and can get back into their routines.

I didn't get to formally work out during the storm, but I did get plenty of exercise cutting up trees and hauling wood from my driveway. It's long, and in the middle of the woods, so there was plenty of wood to clear. Luckily, we got our power back after 42 hours.
