Oops. I reached my first goal of 170, got down to about 165 for a couple weigh-ins, then kinda crept back up to 175. :blushing: I'd love to get down to an "athletic" body type which means I need to get to about 147 (female, age almost 35-eek! and I'm between 5'11" and 6')

Has this happened to you? What did you need to change to get to your goal and stay there? My goal for November is to get back to logging every meal, every day.

I did the same thing. I'm looking for the motivation to start logging (accurately), exercising, etc, again.

I reached my goal and slacked as well. I lost 51 pounds but have now gained back 8. Although I know I'm not big, I don't feel sexy naked... My goal is to get back to the point where I feel like my boyfriend will be unable to resist me if I take my clothes off. :)

    Me!!!!!!!!!!
It doesn't take much to mess everthing up. I started with the 'what the hell'. Once you start the cravings come right back, FAST.
    Back on track again.:drinker:

This HAS happened to me. At that point , I needed to lose 12-15 pounds. I did it slowly-- 4 months. But, then I just wanted to eat chicken wings! I stopped weighing myself (and never was a calorie counter in the past).. because I knew what would happen if I weighed myself-- I would have to stop all of the wings. So, even though I didn't want to gain weight.. I knew it was creeping back on.. just 7-8 yrs later, I am overweight by 40 pounds. The trick -- truly-- is DO NOT ignore those pounds creeping back on. Weigh yourself-- see what you are doing--notice the change in your clothes.. and take ownership. It is much easier to lose 8 pounds than 30--- . and it is MUCH easier to gain weight than lose it. Whew.. well, that was just exhausting :) I am so very frustrated with myself that I let it get as far as it has.. do not let this happen to you. Start NOW. .not after the holidays, not tomorrow.. now :) Good Luck-- I KNOW that you can get right back on track !!

I'm in pretty much the same situation. I lost 30 pounds and then started slacking off -- just a bit. I've gained back 4 pounds and I'm finding it really hard to get motivated again.

To help encourage me to get back on track I've gotten rid of all my "fat" clothes. If I gain weight I'll have absolutely nothing to wear!!

Feel free to add me as a friend -- maybe we can motivate each other.

I'm around 5'11" and I got down to 170, and I am having the hardest time losing weight now! I would love to get down to around 150, but I have either hit a plateau or it is just going to take longer for these last 20 pounds!!

The last time I lost 40 lbs, I started gaining again at the rate of 2.5 lbs a month, all the way up to ... (I`m ashamed to say). Maintenance is the most challenging part of weight loss, and takes just as much discipline.

I was on WW last time, and balked at having to pay fees just because I had gained. So I did not to to the maintenance circle and gained it all back, and more!

This time, I am losing more slowly, so that I don`t develop that famished feeling. And I know MFP is going to have to be an ongoing part of my life for quite a while after reaching goal weight, because that is when the REAL challenge is going to start. Figuring out how much to eat, how much to exercise while remaining stable should be so much easier with MFP`s calorie and exercise database.

Same situation. I'm 5'8", got down to 147ish, and then BAM stopped losing. And I've tried everything I could think of...eating more, eating less, eating back exercise calories, not eating back exercise calories, changing my workouts, etc. I really want to get down to 140, and it's sort of upsetting that it's not happening the way I want it to. But it WILL happen...and I'm not all too unhappy with where I am now. I haven't EVER been this healthy, energized, or strong, so I'll take what I can get and run with it haha.

What a great attitude- I could say the same... I've never felt stronger or more active in all my adult life as I do now.
