I too have looked into this. However if you are logging all of your food and etc on here and losing you do not need it. I see that you have lost quite a bit already why would you go with the budybugg. I changed my setting for my food to change things up and see on the MFP site and it is working better for me.

I think you would be fine without it.

it's around 80 a year to keep the online thing. On mine I can't use it with out the online program. I love it. I haven't used it a while do to not having 80$ but I loved it. Message me if you have any questions
  • i dont want/need it to lose the weight persa....i am a huge need to see kind of person...and i want to make sure i am burning as much as i am supposed to. i want it kinda just to help hold me accountable....like when we go camping and things like that...i wont be able to log my food so i would like something else to help keep me on track durring those times...but i dont want to waste my money eigther
  • I have one and use it to track my calorie burn during my workouts. I find it helpful in the sense that YOU know what type of exercise works for YOU. It's the same thing they use on the Biggest Loser show and it supposed to be pretty accurate too. Yes there is a subscription after the six month free period, kinda sucks for me since like I said I just use it to track my calorie burn. The website has a food diary and some other stuff to tie it all together. There were others I thought about getting but this seemed to be one of the most accurate of all of them. Ask yourself first what do you want to track calorie burns then this thing called the FitBit might be a better choice for you. It is more like a pedometer that uses 3d motion sensors similiar to that of the Wii.

I've heard you have to pay after the free period. But certain gym memberships make if free too. I think it's a waste of money an unnecessary personally.
  • I have one that I no longer use - I am willing to sell it. I also have the display that you can clip to your belt that reads out the data. The fee per month is $6.95. It does give you really great data and I loved it but I no longer use it.
  • I own one and am an avid wearer and supporter of the bodybugg ~ this tool has helped me stay on track and like you, I am a visual person. I need to see my exact cals burned to my cals consumed. The year online subscription is like $79 But if you buy new I believe you get 3 months free.

I don't have one, but my friend does. I am also on the fence about getting one. Yes, you do have to pay for a yearly subscription after your free trial is up. I think it's around $70 per year. As far as I understand, it measures everything you do throughout the day, and you set a goal. For instance, if your goal is to burn 3000 calories that day, it tells you how much you've burned along the way so that if you're only at 2500 by the end of the day, you know you have to get cracking to reach your goal for that day. You have to wear it the whole day except when in the shower, and you take it off for sleeping. You also have to enter your food like you do on here, but as I understand it, the My Fitness Pal website has a much better database of foods than the body bugg one does. I guess that's the trade off. For myself, I'm not sure I want to wear something all the time on my arm like that, this website is free vs. the price of a bugg, etc. I think it it were half the price, I'd definitely try it out. :)
