And I am soooooooo happy.....so I went to Panda Express and before I went I did the calories here, I opted outa the orange chicken for the mushroom chicken and got the madarin chicken without sauce, in place of chow mein or fried rice I got moxed veggies.........I got home, and got out a plate rather then eating from the container. I put 75% of the veggies on my plate and 1/2 of each of the chicken dishes....kinda a bg plate, but mostly veggies, sat down with honey and ate....
I didn't realize how great food tastes all by itself without sauce or salt or "stuff" on it. The Veggies ROCKED! I told my fiancee that I realized that what I used to eat there was likely 1800 in 1 sitting by chosing the wrong food and by eating ALL of that food. I did eat all on my plate, because I was a bit hungry (skipped lunch-bad I know) but the entire plate was 490 calories and I have food left over for lunch tomorrow and I wont feel a bit bad about eating it again!
Thanks all of you for helping me through, this is the first time I have gone out to eat EVER in my life and not regretted ordering the healthier food.......I wasn't even tempted to order the breaded chicken....saucy pork.......I AM SO HAPPY AND SO SATISFIED RIGHT NOW!

OMGosh yes, I think it is a huge hurtle for alot of people, thinking you have to give it up....I know it may sound dingy to finally get it....but I think this time I am actually getting it.......it's a choice to eat better, healthier and tastier food and to not have to worry when you go out that you will cheat, I am gonna be satisfied with Veggies.....veggies......and good stuff.

I too have realized the miracle that is portion control and making better decisions when eating out. My girlfriend is one of those people who can't gain weight even if they try. She is 5'8" and 101 lbs and she wants to go out to eat all the time. I have realized that I CAN do it, just make good decisions and not eat the entire portion I get. If I think back, I know that I could have cleared 2000 calories in one meal and not even be "stuffed". :noway: Now, the thought of those days almost makes me sick and I don't even crave going to a Chinese buffet anymore. :smokin:0

panda express fried rice is my absolute favorite food. If I ate that for the rest of my life I would be contet. Too bad it is the most fattening calorie packed thing ever and I havent ate it in months. Good for you! I could never go there and not get the fried rice i am jealous!0
