Oh last night was not good! I ended up skipping the gym. We had moved our living room furniture around a lot trying to redo it and I could barely walk up the stairs. I knew if I went I would barely get 3-4 miles done so we took a night off :ohwell:

Today is going to be hectic. I have three 1 page papers to write this morning before class and another 4-6 page paper I have to write tonight :noway: I let way to much pile up...so if I'm not at least half way through my 4-6 page paper by 6:45pm no gym for me

So while I'm watching calories and drinking water today...I'm more focused on school by far! So if cravings happen I'm going to do whatever it takes just to stay focused on school. I have a feeling today is not going to be a good day :frown:

Hope you are aren't at busy as me!!!

I can understand how hectic it could be with school and doing papers. Having little time is always a challenge just manage your time and try to get a little workout in. Just dancing for about 22 minutes is good. Put on a good cd you enjoy and walk in place or jog. You can do it! :drinker: Just have a little imagination.

    Renae,
You did count moving furniture as burning cals right? Especially if you were sore afterward!
Yesterday wasn't the best exercise day for me, but that's okay. I got most of my closet cleaned out. I'm going to try to finish today. I need to get some cardio in so I will try to Shred.
I have some touch up painting left to do on the bed before we can start putting it together. I hope we will be able to put it together on Saturday! It will be so nice to have it done (other than finishing the drawers)!
I made it through yesterday without sweets! It wasn't easy, but I made it! Today is day two.
I need to try to make it to the store today but I'm not sure that's going to happen. I hope we have enough food to last us till Saturday because that's the only time I am going to be able to go!
Today is finish closet, drink water, Shred (or something), and finish painting!
Hope you all have a blessed day and stay warm!

Well, I'm getting legislated back to work today or tomorrow . . . So, I'm trying to look for the positive and wondering how the heck I'm going to feel walking back into teach under these circumstances. There's been a lot of hateful language flying around from a few very vocal undergraduates in the union's direction, so I confess I'm really nervous to start teaching again. The employer has published a lot of "stretched truths" about the union. . .I really think they've created a hostile work environment. . .so well, I'm skerred.

I'm glad it's over, but this is literally the worst-case scenario of endings. . .

Today, I'm going to try to go to either spinning or hit the elliptical for some cardio (about $10 worth  ) after I go work on the second to the last run of strike payroll. . .

Yesterday, all I got in was 2.50 worth of walking, but I had a "day off" left in my weekly goals. . . .so no harm done.

So, goals for the day: eating "real food", water, cardio and meditating on the positive. . .

    Take care!:flowerforyou:

V, I'm glad the strike is finally over! I'm sorry it hasn't been the best scenario but things will hopefully blow over soon. I hope you have a smooth transition back to teaching!

V - Glad the strike is over too. Even if there is hurtful language, remember, it's not directed to you.

I'm sore - yeah! Sometimes I don't know if I've worked out hard enough, but if I'm sore, I know I did. Yoga class went well - even though I didn't do anything I had planned. Today, a friend of mine is joining my gym, so I'll be doing whatever she wants to do - and a walk this morning.

I got my bike yesterday!!! Bought it last week, but now it's ready. I hope to get a water cage today so I can go riding tomorrow. I need to adjust the seat and put my baskets on as well. I bought, what is now called a "U frame" - used to be called a "woman's bike" - but as more men are realizing that they won't rack themselves with a "U frame", they are buying this type of bike. Anyway, because it's shaped differently, we need to get a new bike rack for the car. Oh well. I'll ask at the bike store today to get a price range.

    Happy workouts y'all!

    Good morning, all! :flowerforyou:

Got my 15 minutes on the stair stepper in this morning and then 45 minutes of light stretching and weights after that. I may do a yogalates class this evening when my son has his basketball practice. For the rest of the day I am going to drink lots of water and eat healthy and keep within my calories. People are starting to notice a difference in the way I look. I've made a lot of progress in the past couple of weeks. About half way there as far as how much I want to lose. About 15 pounds to go.

Hope everyone has a good day.
