Day 90

So today is day 90 of Power 90 for me. I lost a total of 17 pounds over the course of the 90 days. I'm quite pleased with that, but I wonder what might have been....At first my attitude was, "I'm working out now, I don't have to change my eating habits all that much." Initially, that was ok. I think I lost 5-6 pounds pretty fast. But, then I started to plateau on the weight loss. I figured I could cut back on the beer intake..that should do the trick. It did help. Workouts are a lot easier without the effect of 4-5 beers from the night before. But, the weight still wasn't coming off like I wanted. So, finally my wife and I joined MFP on Jan 8, 2009. I had been doing P90 since Nov 1, 2008 and had lost 11 lbs. Since joining MFP 3 weeks ago, I lost 6 lbs. I wish I had been tracking my food for the entire 90 days.
Just wanted to share that with everyone.

Great job!! 17# is awesome!! I was that way when I first started P90X. I figured I didn't *have* to watch my food that carefully, I'd still see results. And I did. But it wasn't until I really started tracking and changing my eating habits that I really saw results! It's the combo of great workouts and clean nutrition that really makes it work!! So what now? Are you going to do another 90 days?? :bigsmile:0

I'm definitely going to keep going. What does Tony say? It's more like P10950 (30 years)
My goal weight is 180. I'm at 193 now. I like the fact that I lost 5 inches around my gut. My arms are certainly bigger than they were when I started, too. P90X scares the bejeezers out of me, though....0 -

I love Tony! He's a riot! Oh, P90X looks a little scary with the pullups, but it's awesome! 5" off the gut is great, have you had to buy all new jeans? You're right about where my hubby was when he started P90X. He was right around 195 and is now about 178. :bigsmile:0 -

No new jeans yet. I did get some back into the rotation, though. They are loose on me now. I'm waiting to get to a comfortable 34 waist before I buy new ones.0 -

You'll love it. The good thing is that you can control the intensity during phase 1/2. The host even says in the video to pause it if you need to. Good luck!0
