What would you wear in this situation?

I will be attending a symphony on a Saturday night. I've never had to dress up for anything like this before because I never waned to leave the house due to my weight (245/ sz 24) I fit into a 12 now, but I have no clue what to wear or how to "dress up."

What would you wear? Can you posts links of acceptable dresses so I have an idea of what to look for? I'm so nervous!

you dont have to dress up much. This would be a great time to get yourself a simple little black dress though. You worked for it - show it off! Dont be nervous either.... confidence is the sexiest thing you can wear.

I agree with a simple black dress. Maybe also a wrap for your shoulders?

**almost said shawl but realized that made me sound 100

You are going to look beautiful, and I agree that confidence is indeed the sexiest thing you can wear. People LOVE a confident person.

LBD is always a winner for these types of situations! (Says the girl who doesn't even have one... which is why I have the same dilemma every time I need to dress up for something, lol).

Call it a reward for all of your amazing hard work, go shopping, then hit the town looking and feeling awesome!

LBD, or nice black or blue slacks and some kind of dressier shirt!
