My (minor) NSV

I'm always motivated. Ask anyone I know. So motivated that I get made fun of at work for always working out or always logging calories. I'll be the first one to say that "You'll never regret a workout" or "The first step out the door is the hardest." I've had a major headache all day (I'm prone to migranes) and I was just really exhausted overall today. I'm also a firm believer that days off are good.

So what's the problem?
I took yesterday off. I thought about skipping today and I almost didn't go on my run but I said "You know what, Carrie? You'll be glad you went. The worst that can happen is you have a bad run and still have a headache when you get back."

So i went on a run... and guess what?

I'm glad I went.

So there's my NSV for the day!

And my headache is gone :)

It is good to read this :) I was thinking it would make your headache worse, too. So awesome it didn't!

Ha Ha. I always say, "Workout doesn't require time, it requires will power". 'cause if you've got will power, you will make time.

I pretty much don't let headaches keep me from doing anything. If I did, I'd never get anything done. Especially during the spring and fall times when the barometer rolls up and down like a roller coaster. My migraines are mostly weather related; I'm my own pressure gauge.

My trainer has seen me on a cardio day with a migraine, wondering how I can do it. Usually I just up my incline rather than my speed so that every step doesn't reverberate in my skull.

On the plus side, now that I'm not on the pill, getting regular exercise (which in turn gets me to sleep better), avoiding diet sodas (I already avoided caffeine) and eat a better diet, my migraines are mostly limited to the worst changes in weather and the occasional flare up around my period.

    BTW, Carrie, you look FANTASTIC!

I can relate--I dragged myself to the gym Sunday to cross train, and very glad I did. Glad your headache went away. Yay for running!
