i have found out that i really like to eat pecans, does anyone know: do pecans help reduce ones waistline or increase it?

  • Like most foods, if you eat a bunch, they'll increase your waistline -- not because pecans are somehow bad, evil, waist-increasing objects, but because they contain fat, like all nuts, and fat has a lot of calories. That said, if you track your calories & control your portions, you can have a few as a snack and be fine.
  • Depends on how much you eat. Pecans are very calorie dense. 1 oz of pecans is almost 200 calories, however it is a good source of omega 3 and 6, healthy fats etc. I love cashews and have 1 oz a day and have been losing. Moderation in your whole diet is the key.

    200 calories of pecans is better for you than 200 calories of junk food. Pecans have the healthy fats and stuff, but as some others have said....moderation.
