Carbs before, protein after. Carbs give you energy for your workout. Protein repairs muscles after.0

I would just add that carbs are also good during extended workouts and carbs are good to have post-workout to refill glycogen stores. Adding protein with the carbs will aid glycogen uptake into the cells if it is done within 30 minutes post workout. Good luck!0
