This is the story that got me back on track and also led me to MFP! I haven't changed my diet so much but I do eat far less than I used to eat. I am active (average 4 miles of walking at work) and I also walk 3 miles everyday with my dogs and I hike, I just ate way too much.

Now I eat far less and the weight has been going down!

Thats what its all about. Amounts. People fixate too much on types of food.

This is the story that brought me to MFP. Nov. 9th will be one year. Funny how a little story like that can make such a difference. :)

Pfffft the ring ding diet is better!
  • I am not saying that fast food or snack cakes are good for you, but you'll lose weight with a caloric deficit no matter what the source of calories is. I totally believe this article is 100% accurate.

the article is accurate as the previous poster mentioned. A diet like this is dangerous though, zero nutrition.

Agreed! Before my fitness pal I think I was considered a glutton. Although I would have never admitted to it, I was. I would bake chocolate chip cookies (homemade) late at night as a dessert and sit there eating almost a whole tray which typically added up to 6 out of the 9. I always overdosed on dessert and since using MFP I've learned portion is key.

Zero nutrition? Did you even read the whole article. He was eating veggies and taking multis as well.

    Nope. Me too.

I mean, I get that calorie counting is what makes you lose weight, and I eat my fair share of sugar, but MAN. Eating healthy is what keeps you alive.

I love that article and post it a lot on here when people dispute calories. Intake vs output is where it's at.

Agreed. I wouldn't want to live on it. I like food too much.
