Anyone else a fan and watch this last night? I really liked the change up in the format so far and am thrilled that Chicago seems to be really representing. It also seems like they really pulled high caliber chefs this round. I can't wait for the next episode!

    I just posted about this before I came across your post~! I am a big Top Chef fan and yes I agree I loved the new format in the first episode, especially when Tom kicked off the dude on the spot for messing up the butchering...EMBARASSING! I think the quality the chefs is about the same, maybe a bit higher this year with all those James Beard nominees, finalists but nothing crazy.

    I love Top Chef as well although I am trying to finish my masters right now I do not get to watch it when it airs I DVR. So I am a little behind I just finished the episode from when they were serving at South Fork ranch. I love to watch them figure out what to make on the spot like that. It can take me an hour just to think of what to do with turkey. I also love Top Chef just deserts my son loved last season when they remade Willy Wonkas wonderland. :happy:
