Hi everyone. I am a 33-year-old wife and mother of one 5 1/2-year-old little girl. I have been dieting my entire life. I have tried everything, but often fail b/c I don't stick to the plan and I really like to eat -surprise! I do work out - and I think that is has been what has prevetned me from gaining and gaining, although at 250 lbs I really can't afford to not actually lose weight anymore. Right now, my blood pressure and cholesterol are doing fine - but I know that won't last forever.

So anyway, I am just looking to be held accountable for what I put in my mouth - like the Fun-Sized Milky Way I just ate 5 minutes ago. *sigh*

Haha, don't be too hard on yourself. Just remember you're not alone. Most of us are experiencing the same thing as you. As long as you have the determination and discipline, you will DEFINITELY get to your goal! ;) Welcome to MFP! And if you need help or support, I'll try my best

try just making healthy choices one day at a time. You have to play around with it and find what works for you. Good thing if you screw up today, there is tomorrow and the next day! Start slow and change out healthy for non healthy items until you are eating all healthy stuff! Drink lots of water and exercise (do what you love to do or you wont stick with it)
Find a mini reward, or goal to work towards, that helps me stay focus and log your food no matter what you eat....that will help you stay accountable, and the most important thing is FRIENDS on mfp, add lots of them and seeing what they do each day will help motivate you! or atleast it does me!

    Good luck!!

I just recently started MFP and I love it. I was trying the Eat Clean Diet and it didn't work for me. This works because I can still eat what my family eats just in moderation or I make a healthier version without telling them. My biggest problem was always supper because I would be eating rabbit food while they were eating a delicious meal. My mouth would be watering because not only did I have to smell it and see it, I had just cooked it. I would always give in. If I want to eat something bad, I just save my calories. It is great! BTW, I have been doing this for 5 days and lost 4 lbs. Good luck to you!
