Rice

I just like eating rice everyday ,one of my comfort foods. How many cups of white rice can one eat a day safely on a 1300 calorie diet and lose weight? Has anyone eaten rice daily and seen weightloss. I am partly vegetarian and also 49 yrs cannot lose weight easily and cannot cut carbs easily so I seek some help here.

    We eat rice fairly often and I'm at 1390 calories (before exercising) and I usually eat 2/3-1 cup of rice when we have it with a meal. I LOVE stir fry so the rice is necessary. I did switch to brown rice instead of white rice.

    I eat rice about 3-4 times a week and it doesnt effect my weight loss. But I limit myself to 1 cup a day, no more. Sometimes I can only afford to eat 1/2 cup or 2/3. It also depends on how you cook it. If you brown it first, the butter or oil you use adds more calories. And if you add seasonings, it adds tons of sodium!

    I Love Rice.I eat success boil in bag brown rice on a daily basis, and I have had much weight loss success. You really can eat just about anything you want within reason, and lose weight if you are committed to burning off the calories with the proper amount of exercise. Good luck to you.
