idea for you runners on 11/11/11

I have a fun idea I'm getting some friends together for, and I thought I would pass it on to you all. I wanna know if you might do it too!

11/11/11 only comes once a century, and in America, it happens to be on Veteran's Day. And it's on a Friday, so I imagine a lot of people will be off work and out of school.

So here's my idea.

Date: 11/11/11
Start time: 11:11:11
Distance: 11.11 mile run!

If you want to show appreciation to vets, you could wear RED WHITE BLUE and a yellow ribbon. Try to get 11 friends together and have a good time! ....6 matching numbers....it's cool!

I would love to, but I'm running a 10K the next day...but I love the idea!

I'll be in Vegas that day. Hotel room Olympics and exhibitions will be performed.

This is a great idea and I will be doing a commemorative run, but I am doing 11K and have signed up online for a virtual run. The website is http://www.veteransdayrun.com/. The run is also being held in many cities, but if none of them are close to you, you can sign up for the virtual event and you just log in your run. They mail you all the race schwagg...t-shirt, bib number, etc., and you can even order the medal to commemorate the event. I'm registered to complete it!!

Thanks. I checked out the website. sound fun. And an 11.11 kilometer would be fun. they said just 11 k, but might as well add the extra .11
