Best option: less calorie or more healthy food?

Hi everyone;

Would you trade a very health and with lots of calories food for another one with less calories?

It is my second day and I do have to change old habits.

The thing is that there is here a fruit called "açai". I don't know if you ever heard about it.
It is very healthy and nutritive, but 1 portion would be 500 calories or more, just like a whole meal. After eating this you feel full for over 3 hours and it is also very addictive. That is the kind of food that people who workes out a lot loves, they used to add banana, strawberry, granola and honey at açai. It is really a calorie bomb.

In this kind of food (healthy but too many calories), I can also include bananas and avocados.

So, after all, is it better healthy food or few calories food in the beginning of my diet?

Thank you all

    It's a fruit. If you like it, eat it. Just in moderation. Acqi is very good for you. I wouldn't restrict it too much if you like it.

    Key is moderation and healthy. Go for it - I would just mix less of it with other, lower calorie foods to lower the overall calories, while still keeping the health benefits.

    I love acai myself (sorry - don't have a keyboard that does the special characters easily), but always use it as a mix in - not the main course. I usually mix it with strawberries or blueberries (or any kind of berry) and cottage cheese. Total serving size for me is 1/2 cup to 1 cup (4-8 ounces).

    I haven't had it in a while - hard to get acai by itself here, but I need to go see if I can find a consistent source for it - thanks for reminding me that it is out there.
  • Great idea of mixing cottage cheese hunnn! It must be good.
    Thanks
