Totally agree. Sometimes you actually have to eat more to lose weight.

You really, really, REALLY need to eat more for breakfast. You should be eating AT LEAST 1,200 calories a day (which I'm gathering is your goal). Definitely more protein (or your body will take the weight from your muscles). Eating nuts would help bring the carloies up and aren't too filling.

You seem to be eating pretty healthful foods, but you aren't eating nearly enough. I know you say you aren't hungry, but I find that hard to believe. I eat 1500+ calories a day and I am hungry quite often. Especially in the morning. When you eat so few calories, you are setting yourself up to fail. If you want to treat this as a diet rather than a lifestyle change, you will eventually go off the diet. You won't eat that few calories for the rest of your life. This is supposed to be a sustainable way of living rather than a race to get the weight off as soon as possible.

Good luck. I truly hope you succeed. I think we are all here for the same reasons. And we all want to succeed.

Definitely more calories needed, you need more protein and fats, maybe less carbs. I would look to get a 40/40/20 (carbs/protein/fats) to start with. If you don't eat more calories, you will lose muscle mass which will decrease your metabolism.

I agree - you need to eat more. You need at least 1200 calories/day, especially if you're working out, or else your body will go into "starvation mode" and you won't lose anything. Also, eating 6 little meals is better than 3 or 4 bigger ones. And, you should try to have some protein at each of the 6. Protein shakes are great ways to add some calories and protein, even when you're not hungry, because there's not much to them.

You really need to make sure you're drinking more water, too. 4 glasses just isn't enough in a day. And, like everyone else already said, eat! I looked at your diary for a good week and a half and there wasn't a single day where you ate 1200 calories. Grab a Greek yogurt, a tablespoon of peanut butter, or a handful of almonds and enjoy!

I see you joined in Sept 2011 and you have lost 12lbs, that is good loss but I have to agree with others on not eating enough especially with your exercising. If you don't really feel hungry throw in a few nuts or a table spoon of peanut butter, your body will thank you for it. Best of luck to you in your journey.

This exactly. Keep eating healthy foods - but eat more of them. You need more calories or your body will not trust you enough to drop the weight.

you really do need to eat more! i know it can be hard when you start, you dont feel hungry. i still have problems with it sometimes. after years of skipping meals and not listening to my body, it can feel like im force feeding myself. i try to use nuts and oils more...full fat mayo and dressings on salad. im a big fan of avocado on sandwiches or in wraps..

Everyone's body is different. I would say shoot for a minimum of 1200/day. you dont HAVE to eat all the calories back. But you do need to have enough to be healthy.
