Question about fruit

Is there such as thing as eating too much fruit when you're trying to lose weight? I had one-half grapefruit with breakfast, a banana for a mid-morning snack, some strawberries with my lunchtime salad and an apple for a mid-afternoon snack. I have been staying within my calorie range, but am wondering if I'm taking in too much sugar.

it's good, natural sugar, so it's not that bad.
i've read that u should use your sugar earlier in the day so it can burn off....0 -
its a good sugar. i suppose you can have too much of anything. but it sounds like your getting your three servings a day so i think you'll be ok.0

It really depends on your body type and how it processes the sugar. Some people should only eat 1-2 pieces, while others can get away with 4-5 and be just fine. It's a matter of you watching your own body and noting what you should and shouldn't do.
And TRLTAMPA has a great point, natural sugar is especially good earlier in the day if you can burn it off.0 -
TRL is correct, while fruit can contain a lot of sugar, it's a different kind of sugar then your common table sugar, and is processed differently. Some of that has to do with the molecules themselves, and some has to do with the fiber locked up in the fruit. Fruit shouldn't spike your blood sugar levels like candy and other processed sugars can.
That being said, fruit JUICE isn't all that good for you, take away the fiber and now you're closing in on a more fast absorbing type of sugar.
There are different levels of sugar for different types of fruits too, low sugar fruits like berries, grapefruits, most melons are all great. Some fruits are higher in sugar, like apples, grapes, bananas...etc. That doesn't mean don't eat them, it just means they are a little higher in sugar content, that sugar should still process rather slowly though.0
