Changes in cravings and exercise desires?

As I go and look for my yoga dvd's, I need to ask: Does anyone else have moments of randomness where your body will tell you, "DO YOGA NOW!!" or any other kind of exercise....even if you haven't done it in a long time or ever before?
Same question but with food. Have your cravings changed since starting this journey?
I randomly feel like doing yoga (haven't done it since 20 lbs ago so I'm curious to see how flexible my body is now). I have also changed from craving carbs to craving protein. Weird?

Wow, that's awesome about the running, but the cereal has me scratching my head! I have never been a cereal eater, so if I were to start craving that, I would likely think i were ill.0 -

I've been having the urge to do yoga lately as well but I have a dvd of yoga for beginners and need to get something different because they make me mad about talking me through all the steps like I am 5 yrs old lol. Anyways, food cravings are pretty much the same. Except, I can now satisfy them with healthier alternatives rather than before. The only one I haven't had a healthier alternative for is shrimp sauce on my rice, veggies, and meat when I want hibachi grill. So thats my little "treat."
Also sometimes its a good idea to try and figure out why you're having a craving. I read that the reason you crave chocolate around TOM is because you are lacking in iron, so theoretically if you eat broccoli, said craving should go away. Haven't tried that yet since I can usually kill my chocolate craving with a hot beverage with truvia sugar.
I'm not sure why you were craving to do yoga but mine has been to stretch. I keep feeling like I need an amazing stretch and can't do it with normal stretching procedures.0 -

Maybe that is what it is. I haven't done much stretching lately and every time I go to the gym my body screams "STRETCH!!!" Then I ignore it and get on the elliptical (there are very few ellipticals, so I have to grab one while the getting is good). Maybe I will start doing yoga a few times a week to see if the deep stretching is what my body is in desire of.
I'll have to try broccoli next time a chocolate craving overtakes me (happens during TOM, but has since stopped happening every other day of the month - which is good!).0 -

Stretching!!!! I used to be SO flexible but my exercising increased but the amount of time I dedicate to stretching hasnt changed. As for food.... I am FINALLY getting the concept of eating when I'm hungry and what has helped me is David Gillespie and staying away from sugar.
ps- need to really do something about the stretching..... like yoga :-)0
