never, BUT when Im over my cals, I don't complete my diary...

Yeah I'm so bad I don't finish it until the next day so it doesn't pop up on my profile that I was over my calories. Can't stand the thought of my friends seeing that :blushing:

The other day I took a short walk a coworker and didn't log it because it didn't feel significant.

I can't remember where I saw the quote, but I think it every time I'm jogging and think about walking some.
"You can quit and no one will know, but you!"
  • Nope.....If its been a bad day I'll log and do better the next day. Don't want to cheat myself.

    Yep...I've faked it.

And then I feel bad for it.

And then I get over it.

But now I'm turning over a new leaf...

What would be the point of faking it? If you are faking your diary in order to look good to your MFP friends, you need to take a step back because those friendships are not helping you.

    lol...I thought I only did that : )

I always log..especially if I eat something bad. I don't think anyone is actually taking the time to look at your diary..except you..lol..i mean are you trying to convince yourself you didn't eat bad?

K.I.R...Keep it REAL! If you are lying about your logs, then don't cry when you have gained weight instead of losing. My motto is do as much cardio as possible then treat yourself every once in a while!

If you are faking it, you're cheating yourself. You're also being dishonest to someone that loves you and wants to please you.

And...if he doesn't want to please you, what's the point?

No, lieing in your diary is only lieing to yourself. Don't do it.

I don't fake it BUT if I'm feeling hungrier than I think I should I might reduce some guesstimates, but never something I had actually weighed/got out of a labelled packet.

No, I revel and enjoy my bad behaviour! I'm not bad often so stuff it, when I am I wear it like a badge of honour!

If I skip exercise, or eat too much, I don't connect that with feelings of guilt or shame. I don't feel like I'm being "bad". It's just an objective fact: I ate this much, I exercised this much, and I need to know so I can continue to lose weight.

No... and when I go over on cals I just log it and suck it up.. we all have days where we over indulge so why pretend we don't??? I'm only human after all :-)

Well........................if I DID fake it, would anyone know?

lol. Here's my theory - I KNOW before I started MFP, my daily habits were horrendous. I never thought I ate all that much, and I know I didn't exercise very often, but REALLLY.........I was healthy, felt pretty good, didn't look THAT bad........or did I?

If I go over my daily allotment on occasion, I KNOW, without question or doubt, that it's a lot less than where I was 3 months ago. So, big deal! I am losing weight, I am moving more, and I plan to keep going with this (for the first time IN MY LIFE!)

At almost 57 yrs old, I don't have to win any contests or prove anything to anyone.........I am just rather delighted to see this happening, and it hasn't been hard or torturous. In fact.....and don't tell anyone......it's kinda fun!

So, in answer? I don't cheat regularly, but I do omit on occasion
